As it turned out, from reading commentary and studying the settings closely, my installation of Paint Tool SAI was missing the textures and brush patterns being used by these other artists. To my surprise, all the hair tutorials I saw claimed to feature stock SAI brushes. What I expected was that I’d find someone’s custom brush that looked like it would do the job and then have to load it into SAI somehow. So after finishing the pic (because of course when running into a bit of difficulty on a project, the thing to do is bull on ahead and finish with what you’ve got and then go hunting for a fix), I decided to search and see what other SAI users were doing to make hair. In other programs, I’d had a selection of virtual brushes to use that simulated hair strands well enough, but there really didn’t seem to be any great options in SAI. But I wasn’t entirely happy with the hair. I think it came out all right, in that I didn’t immediately regret posting it right after hitting the button. That pic was created mostly in Paint Tool SAI. Who the hell are you, then? A figment of my imagination?

(see below.So you may have seen me post my Power Girl vs. when i tried to open the 'help.txt' document there was only gibberish, and the ssd file labeled 'brushes' was unopenable until i tried it with notepad and then there was gibberish again. the answer they got was to copy the brushes from the systemax folder to paint tool sai 2, which i tried, but nothing happened. i did some research, and someone in 2016 had a similar problem, i think, but ill explain it again. i tried to check the error log/history/aborted works section, but it was blank as well- its like theres just a whole new fresh program. So i opened up paint tool sai 2 one day, and all of my customized brushes that i've made over a couple of years are just.
